Discovery Place

Discovery place aquariumDiscovery Place in downtown Charlotte is a wonderful experience for your family!  Science is brought to life through daily programs and activities for children of all ages.  There are hands on activities that help children explore the world of science.  You can experience tropical rainforest ecosystems and how wind power works.   How about watching larger-than-life IMAX films exploring everything from the legends of the sea to the Alps on the largest screen in the Carolinas?  There is even a room for little tykes with hands on water fun.

The Charlotte Nature Museum, focusing on ages 3-7, allows children of all ages to explore the Butterfly Pavilion, see live animals in Creature Cavern, view Insect Ally, walk the Nature Trail in the 100 year old forest, and more.

Annual donations from the Friends of the Del Webb Library made to Discovery Place provide our community with free passes for general entry into Discovery Place and the Charlotte Nature Museum.
