The Friends of the Library
acknowledges the importance of gifts and donations and welcomes individuals,
foundations, corporations and community groups to help them to provide enhancements to the existing programs and services available at the Del Webb Library at Indian Land. This support ensures that the Library remains an innovative and exceptional provider of information, lifelong learning, and leisure pursuits for the citizens of Indian Land community.

As a branch of the Lancaster County Library, with limited funds, increasing costs and the desire to expand its services, the Del Webb Library at Indian Land needs community support.
The Friends of the Del Webb Library:
- Promote the library and its services to the community
- Host special events and projects to benefit the library
- Raise funds for library programs, services, and facilities
You can provide the support the library needs to continue to offer its existing services, as well as to expand its book collections, media collections, and computer technology. The Friends of the Del Webb Library at Indian Land is a Sec. 501 (c) (3) organization, as defined by the Internal Revenue Service.
The Friends of the Del Webb Library is a nonprofit organization. Your membership or donation is tax deductible
Gifts of Money - monetary gifts can be designated for a specific purpose, or your gift may be totally unrestricted leaving the decision to the FRIENDS to fund areas of need. See our Gift Acceptance Policy
Businesses - Sponsor an event (whole or in part) by funding the event and supplying your branded materials, donate supplies and/or manpower volunteers. Contact us for details.
As a nonprofit organization, Friends of the Del Webb Library actively seeks corporate donations and corporate and foundation grants. All information on available contributions and grant application is most welcome. Contact our Development Committee.
Clubs and Organizations - Ask your members to support the library by joining the Friends. Would your organization like to hold a fundraiser to help the Friends buy books for the Library? Do your members have special talents that can help us? Would your special interest club like to donate a subscription to a magazine or periodical to the library so others may learn about it too? Contact us for details.
Tribute or memorial gifts - these gifts allow you to honor a friend or loved one in a unique and meaningful way. By marking a special occasion with a gift to the FRIENDS you'll be recognizing the important role libraries play in people's lives. In memoriam or in remembrance gifts provide a lasting honor to someone who loved books and reading. Acknowledgment of your gift will be sent per your instructions. See our Gift Acceptance Policy
We Accept and sell books
The shop officially opened for business in March 2009. Items for sale include books for all ages, movies, CDs and DVDs, as well as Friends merchandise.
Friends Shop accepts gently used books (hard cover and paperbacks), movies, CDs and DVDs.
The library reviews donations and selects items needed for the three county branches. Remaining donations go to the Friends Shop.
